一、 课程介绍
网投十大信誉排名以培养能力出众、视野宽广的国际化法律人才为发展目标,不仅注重培养学生扎实的法学理论功底,还十分注重学生实践能力的锻炼。自2018年起,北大法学院携手世界知名国际律所---美国众达律师事务所,开设《跨境法律律师实务课程》。
该课程为全英文授课课程,每节课程都会安排至少一名相关领域的中国律师辅助课堂,提供中文翻译和讲解,帮助同学们更好地理解课程内容。授课教师为美国众达律师事务所全球范围内的合伙人和资深律师。律师们通过分析国际律所中的研究案例,加深学生对国际律所律师专业知识的理解和掌握。
二、 2020年秋季学期课程相关信息
1. 开课目的
本课程从实务出发,重点讲授“法律实战”,而非“法律条文”。授课律师来自不同法域,同学们将与众达十几位顶尖律师共同探讨国际律师实务前沿问题。
2. 课程内容
课程内容包括并购、合资企业与战略联盟、反垄断和竞争法、知识产权、环境保护法、诉讼等方面。
3. 授课形式
受疫情影响,2020年秋季学期,众达全球范围内的合伙人和资深律师将通过“网络直播”的方式进行授课。课程回放视频每周将会同步上传至教学网。授课形式以分析国际律所中的研究案例为主,通过案例分析加深学生对国际性律所律师专业知识的理解和掌握。
4. 上课时间
9月16日至12月30日(除公共假日外),每周三第1-2和7-8节课,时间为8:00-10:00和15:00-17:00,具体上课安排,将后续通知给选课学生。
5. 结课奖励
按时、按量完成课程的学生将获得由美国众达律师事务所与北大法学院共同签发的结课证书;
经遴选,优秀学生有机会前往美国众达律师事务所北京代表处实习。
为了更好地培养社会各界的法学人才,2020年秋季学期,该课程将继续面向网投十大信誉排名及部分在京高校法学院的优秀法律学生开放申请。

网投十大信誉排名学生可在选课系统中选择相应课程(本科生课程号:02930191,研究生课程号:02917761);
其他院校学生可通过各学校内部报名和遴选程序参与课程。

Speaker: Antonio Dias, Washington Office
Topic: Introduction of Common Law & US Legal System
Tony Dias creates and implements strategic legal responses to high-profile and novel legal matters involving financial institutions, manufacturing, energy, telecommunications, consumer products and services, corporate conduct, and educational institutions. He defends companies facing federal government and state attorney general investigations, federal and state legislative investigations and hearings, regulatory challenges, and complex litigation. He also counsels those companies in responding to intense media scrutiny.

Topic: Bankruptcy/Restructuring
Dan Moss has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, and creditor committees in some of the largest and historic corporate and government reorganizations in the United States. He also has extensive experience counseling clients on fraudulent conveyance, preferential transfer, fiduciary duty, and corporate governance issues.

Topic: Antitrust
Craig Waldman, who co-chairs Jones Day's global Antitrust & Competition Law Practice, has more than 20 years of experience representing companies in antitrust government investigations, private litigations, and by counseling them on how to manage antitrust risk in daily business activities. Craig's work has included all areas of antitrust including mergers, agreements among competitors, vertical distribution issues, price discrimination, criminal antitrust matters, monopolization, and intellectual property licensing and trade regulation.

Topic: IP
Anthony Insogna is a leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent lawyer as recognized by clients, Chambers, and his peers. He has more than 28 years of experience enforcing and defending patents around the globe, driving patent portfolio strategy for drug candidates and FDA approved products, and conducting due diligence for life sciences companies, investment banks, and venture capital firms.
Speaker: Greg Shumaker, Washington Office
Topic: Global Disputes
In his nearly 35 years at Jones Day, Greg Shumaker, head of the Firm's Global Disputes Practice, has helped lead some of the Firm's highest profile engagements, including serving as one of the lead trial lawyers for both the City of Detroit and Chrysler Corporation in their historic bankruptcy proceedings. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation particularly in U.S. bankruptcy courts as well as criminal, regulatory, and congressional investigations involving allegations of fraud and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and False Claims Act.

Topic: Environmental Protection Laws
Françoise Labrousse, who is a well-regarded environmental lawyer and litigator in France, focuses on environment, energy, life sciences, consumer products, and health and safety-related issues under French, European, and international law. She co-heads the Firm's Government Regulation Practice and in 2019 was named lawyer of the year for environmental law by Global Law Experts.
Speaker: James Dougherty, Randi Lesnick, New York Office
Topic: M&A
James Dougherty leads the Firm's M&A Practice. He advises companies on transactional matters, including takeover defense, leveraged buyouts, proxy contests, shareholder activism, and corporate governance.
In her more than 20 years in practice, Randi Lesnick has advised on M&A transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $250 billion. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, takeovers and takeover preparedness, restructurings, recapitalizations, capital raising, securities transactions, activist defense, and corporate governance issues. She is M&A Practice Chair for the Americas and Administrative Partner for the Firm's M&A Practice.
Speaker: Theodore Chung, Chicago Office
Topic: Criminal Law Procedure
Ted Chung, chair of the Firm's Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice, has deep experience conducting internal investigations, defending companies and individuals in criminal and regulatory proceedings, and counseling clients on compliance programs and issues.
